Dear friends,
The Code Purple Shelters at St. Jude the Apostle and The Lutheran Church of Our Savior closed for the season on Friday, March 15th . Cold weather operations will start up again at the beginning of December 2024.
I often witnessed the looks of appreciation and delight as the men and women ate the homemade casseroles. They were all cold and tired from long hours outside or long hours at work and the hot food nourished both their bodies and spirits.
I am so proud of the generous spirit that exists within our church family and grateful to be a part of it all.

The Community Resource Center is again asking for donations of hot meals for 15-20 adults to be delivered between 10:45 and 11am to the Dayroom at the CRC.
Meals needed from December 11th through March 29th.

Gift Cards for A Sheltering Heart at Red Mill Inn
You can help and no cooking needed!
All clients at Red Mill Inn have a crockpot in their room and are able to make their own dinner. The clients give give Toni their shopping lists and she purchases the ingredients. Then each can make their own dinner.
Providing a Giant or Acme gift cards for $25 is a great way to help.
No sign up is needed. Just mail the cards to the address below.
Do not bring the cards to the Red Mill Inn as there isn’t anyone there assigned
to receive them.
